Making men out of STRENGTH!!!

Many women complain about the lack of men today. I don't blame them. Just look at the shows on T.V. or commercials and there is no shortage of weak male characters. I mean seriously, what happened to Rambo, Arnold, The Rock...there are what I would call a Man's Man. Instead, we get lame weak ass frail male types such as the douchebag from Spiderman!!! Sorry, but that dude isn't saving me from anything! Take a look at this weakling below.

He looks like I'll take his lunch money!!!!

You ain't man enough if....
If you're shaving hair off your body (self explanatory).
If you look too long in the mirror adjusting your hair (dude, girls do that...you shouldn't).
If you're 5'11'' and weigh 120lbs (seriously put on some weight man).
If you shop most of your clothes at H&M, Express (....)
If you can't squat double your body weight (you need to try harder).
If you hurt animals, the environment, people (strength is meant to protect...not harm).
If you don't know how to change the oil in your car (need I say more?)

I can go on and on about this for days!

Men through Strength

That's what I love about strength training. It has allowed men to tap into their masculinity and express their dominant masculine qualities. It helps them convert boys to men. How? The increase in testosterone helps but the weights are a resemblance of what masculinity is: the pursuit of freedom and purpose.

The weights stand in the way of mans goals and dreams. Overcoming the weight builds confidence in knowing the weight has been overcome. Just load up a barbell with a weight that scares you. The weight is heavy and you know this!!! It's scary and you are not so sure you can do it but you believe you can. And when you do there is no greater feeling in life such as the feeling of accomplishment from lifting a weight you once thought impossible.

Dmitry Klokov = a Man's Man

Where have all the men gone? Seems as if Russian's are the last masculine stronghold. While men in America have been feminized not the Russians like Dmitry Klokov. This guy is a Man's Man. He's no pretty boy and is strong as hell!!! He's an Olympic Silver Medalist in the sport of Weightlifting and became World Champ in 2005.

So if you're a guy struggling to find your place as a man in this world...go to the gym, and learn to lift. Women, if you're complaining as to where have all the men gone...you'll find them in the strength gyms. NOT the fitness gyms the strength gyms.

Recovery Nutrition with Herbalife Rebuild Strength

If you're an athlete/lifter or hard charger you can go as hard as you want in training but if your recovery isn't enough to repair damaged tissues then performance will not improve. When we train, we break down our bodies causing inflammation and or muscle scaring. It's during recovery that allows the body to repair and re grow damaged tissues which then improves performance.

Recovery and sleep

During deep sleep the body releases it's own supply of hormones such as growth hormone (for example) to seek out damaged tissue and cause re growth of those tissues. We do this to combat the damaging impact of stress (both physical and mental) that comes with daily life. When we wake feeling restored we are ready to take on another day of training or tackling with life's daily issues. When we are restored from previous damage and stress this is how we become stronger physically.

Herbalife Rebuild Strength

I personally take this Herbalife recovery drink after training. Why? The following is in 1 scoop of Rebuild:
  • 24 g whey and casein proteins create a rapid and sustained protein-building state*
  • Tri-core protein-amino blend of free amino acids, whey and casein proteins help rebuild muscle and speed recovery*
  • Iron essential for red blood cell protection*
  • Branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) support muscle growth*
  • L-Glutamine supports immune function and promotes muscle repair*
It's the equivalent of taking 4 products in 1 scoop. This is why my performance has been outstanding because my recovery nutrition using Herbalife Rebuild Strength has contributed to increased recovery so that I can perform just as hard the next day. Performance nutrition using Rebuild Strength has allowed me to:
- squat 200kgs = 440lbs a lifetime best
- power clean and jerk 130kgs = 286lbs
- win Silver in the Masters Pan Am's in Weightlifting 2013 and Gold in the 2013 Cal States Games in the 77kg weight class
